BASIC FUNCTION

Prepares and cuts raw materials from scheduling requirements sheets into proper sizes for further processing by the use of various dicing equipment/ methods in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with established quality and quantity guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up equipment necessary for the day’s production run in there assigned area and breaks down and cleans said equipment at conclusion of day.
  • Prepares work area: Correct sets up equipment necessary to run: assigned scale, assigned Dicer, conveyors and utensils that are necessary to perform the job of the Vegetable Cutter/ Dicer Operator.
  • Assuring proper cuts and sizes from production schedule are followed and checked off and weights of ingredients are correct at all times.
  • Oversees vegetable cutting partner and assures product leaves area in an acceptable.
  • Performs and controls the quantity and quality of work at there cutting/ dicer area, including: proper prepping and cutting following proper set up guides & production schedule, and that the product visually looks as it should.
  • Reports any problem that may arise to Lead Person or Production Supervisor.
  • Reports any mechanical or safety problems to the Production Supervisor immediately.
  • Position requires the physical ability to perform heavy lifting and frequent bending. Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Adheres to all common safety practices or rules, including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
  • Adheres to our plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  • Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Lead Person or Production Supervisor.

EXPERIENCE Food production: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsible for performing general maintenance assignments, utilizing well developed mechanical skills under minimal supervision.

Repairs, maintains, and adjusts various types of machines, equipment, production line equipment and physical structure under minimal supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Locate products using technology
  • Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy
  • Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
  • Wrap orders before loading on trucks.
  • Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
